An independent editorial team born in Rome, with one simple goal: help you experience Rome the way locals do.
Our mission
My Rome Life was born from the conviction that traditional travel guides get Rome wrong. Too much focus on the main attractions, too little on how to get there, navigate the city, avoid the traps, and understand what's actually worth your time and money.
We write practical, verified, updated guides. Our only measure: would this information be useful to someone arriving in Rome tomorrow morning?
How we work
Field research
Our guides come from direct experience. Every article on airport routes, transfers, and neighbourhoods is written based on information verified with primary sources: official fares, municipal ordinances, documented experiences.
Verifiable sources
Every piece of data has a source. For taxi fares we cite Rome's municipal ordinances. For NCC regulations we reference Law 21/1992 and the Highway Code. We don't write 'approximately' when we can write a precise number.
Continuous updates
Rome changes: prices, ZTL rules, museum hours, transport conditions. Every guide shows its last update date. Outdated information is removed or corrected — not left online because 'someone might still read it'.
No paid articles
We don't accept guest posts, undisclosed sponsored content or paid placements in our guides. If a venue, service or operator is mentioned, it's because we genuinely think it's useful for our readers.
Commercial transparency
My Rome Life has a commercial partnership with My Rome Driver, a professional NCC service for airport transfers and private tours in Rome. This partnership is explicitly declared on pages where the service is recommended.
The partnership does not influence our editorial content. No articles are written to promote My Rome Driver in an undisclosed way: when we recommend it, we do so openly — as we do with any other service we consider useful.
